Item The role of ICT in the development of children's' with disabilities(CEUR-WS, 2022) Fardoun, Habib; Collazos, César A.; Abulfaraj, Anas; Altwijri, AbdulazizItem Performance evaluation of college laboratories based on fusion of decision tree and BP neural network(Sciendo, 2022-07-01) Yujie, Chang; Weimin, Gao; Chelli, Karim; Muttar, Ahmed K. H.Performance evaluation can promote the continuous improvement of the laboratories in a college. It is necessary to take into account the scientific evaluation method during the process of the performance evaluation. In this paper, a performance evaluation method based on the fusion of the decision tree and BP neural network is presented. In detail, the decision tree model is used to select performance evaluation indexes with high weight. The BP neural network was adopted aiming to reduce the impact of assessment prediction of classification by non-core factors. First, the data were pre-processed by trapezoidal membership function. Then, the decision tree was generated by the C4.5 algorithm to select the evaluation indexes with high weight. Then, the BP neural network was trained with as many samples as possible by evaluation indexes; it possesses experts' experience which can be used to predict the performance evaluation results. The method overcomes the shortages of the separate model, eliminates the disturbance of human factors and improves the accuracy of the evaluation. Experiments show that the model is feasible and effective in performance evaluation of college laboratories. The outcomes of this work can provide a scientific evaluation method for people such as researchers, college administrators and laboratory managers. Also, this paper will help them to improve the management of laboratories and provide them with decision references for constructing the laboratories. © 2021 Chang Yujie et al., published by Sciendo 2021.Item Malicious Node Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks: Comparative Study(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2023) Darwish, Lara; Nassr, Mohammad; Ghosna, Fadi; Fardoun, Habib M.; Voronkova, Daria K.; Anbar, MohammadItem Reducing Delay for Delay-Sensitive Applications in Smart Home Networks Using Openflow Protocol(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2023) Alkubeily, Mothanna; Sakulin, Sergey A.; Hasan, Bushra; Fardoun, Habib M.Item Companies' ethical certification and their attractiveness to institutional investors: An intermediate signaling perspective(John Wiley and Sons Inc, 2023) Ismail, Ahmad K.; Jamali, Dima; Khalil, Samer; Safieddine, Assem; Samara, GeorgesItem The disruptive times of Covid-19: higher education leadership and management logistics in Arab nations(4S go, s.r.o, 2023-12) Fardoun, Habib M.; Aouad, Ghassan; Yahchouchi, GeorgesItem Channel Allocation in 5G Networks using Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm (No Full text)(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2024) Hussein, Areej; Anbar, Mohammad; Molhem, Mohammed; Oudeh, Atheer Yousif; Nassr, Mohammad; Fardoun, HabibItem An Intelligent System for Classifying Emotional Coloration of Comments (No Abstract)(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2024) Zarubenkova, Valeriia O; Skvortsova, Maria; Fardoun, HabibItem Sustainable supply chain, dynamic capabilities, eco-innovation, and environmental performance in an emerging economy (Article in Press)(John Wiley and Sons Ltd, 2024) Siddiqi, Roheel Ahmed; Codini, Anna Paola; Ishaq, Muhammad Ishtiaq; Jamali, Dima Rachid; Raza, AliItem Preface(Springer Nature, 2024) Emrouznejad, Ali; Zervopoulos, Panagiotis D.; Ozturk, Ilhan; Jamali, Dima; Rice, JohnItem Future-proofing nature-based tourism in Canada: a horizon scan of emerging challenges(Routledge, 2024) Rushton, Brooklyn; Lemieux, Christopher J.; Scott, Daniel J.; Halpenny, Elizabeth A.; Tompkins, Josh; Jones, Brenda; Plangger, Franz; Rubeling, Daniella; Maher, Patrick T.; Carruthers Den Hoed, Don; Jakubec, Sonya L.; Rettie, KathleenItem Corporate social responsibility in the United Arab Emirates and globally: A cross-national comparison(Elsevier Ltd, 2024-01-01) Jamali, Dima Rachid; Ahmad, Ifzal; Aboelmaged, Mohamed; Usman, MuhammadItem Mathematical Analysis of Teaching Art and its Effect on Packaging Design Give Lessons (With Fulltext)(Sciendo, 2024-01-01) Guo, Hu; Hao, Chen; Xuan, Li; Chelli, Karim; Alzyoud, Adel Ali YassinAims: To let students know that packaging design teaching is both a science and an art like any other course, only when students understand this, can they teach and educate people once they are engaged in this profession. Methods: Observation, experiment, investigation, and other methods were used to carry out a relatively long time of teaching practice in the course of Packaging Design, and the teaching art was explored. Results: Practice shows that if students want to truly realize that teaching is both a science and an art, they must adhere to the purpose of instilling in teaching for a long time, and fully understand the history of teaching artistry, its characteristics, and its functions. Conclusion: Through the mathematical statistical analysis and research of teaching art practice and effect, we believe that any course is not a simple knowledge teaching, it is a process of educating people. We must cultivate the next generation to be well-rounded individuals, ensuring they are intellectually enriched and nurtured in moral values, physical health, aesthetic appreciation, and work skills. This holistic approach ensures that while they acquire knowledge, they are also exposed to and trained in the arts and practical skills. Only when people are well-Trained can society be harmonious and beautiful. Therefore, the research on teaching art in packaging design has analyzed the three most important artistic effects of teaching blackboard art, language art, and teaching preparation art. Those with good teaching art effects account for 16-18%, those with medium teaching art effects account for 70-80%, and those with poor teaching art effects account for 10-16%. © 2024 Hu Guo et al., published by Sciendo.Item The role of ESG performance in the nexus between economic policy uncertainty and corporate investment (No Full Text)(Elsevier Ltd, 2024-06) Zhang, Cong; Farooq, Umar; Jamali, Dima; Alam, Mohammad MahtabItem Artistic mathematical analysis of the influence of modern urban architecture and lighting on human visual information transmission(IOS Press BV, 2024-06-17) Hu, Guo; Chen, Hao; Li, Xuan; Chelli, Karim; Alzyoud, Adel Ali Yassin
