In this proposed method, the data symbols in each block is used to select the spreading code. Therefore, frequency diversity in the system is increased as well as improving the symbol detection due to the inherent coding in the spreading technique. Simulation results show significant improvement in BER performance for the proposed system compared with conventional OFDM one. © 2009 IEEE.enPermission to reuse abstract has been secured from Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.BER performanceBlock processingBlock spreadingData symbolsDetection errorFrequency diversityParity bitsSimulation resultsSpreading codesSymbol detectionError detectionFrequency allocationOrthogonal functionsOrthogonal frequency division multiplexingOFDM with parity bit selected block spreadingConference PaperCopyright : 2009 IEEE.
