dc.description.abstractThe Olympic Virtual Series (OVS), organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has paved the way for e-Sports to become mainstream and represents the first steps taken by the IOC to enter the metaverse. This chapter is a case study on one of the OVS discipline – cycling event - which utilized Zwift, an online multiplayer cycling training program.
