Abstract
The Olympic Virtual Series (OVS), organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has paved the way for e-Sports to become mainstream and represents the first steps taken by the IOC to enter the metaverse. This chapter is a case study on one of the OVS discipline – cycling event - which utilized Zwift, an online multiplayer cycling training program. It also aims to explore the elements which will enable the IOC to integrate Olympic values and promote education and peace. (C) Gama Assessoria Empresarial, 2021.
